24/7 EMERGENCY LINE
Emergency AC Repair in Spring, TX
Emergency calls run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, for Spring, The Woodlands and Greater Houston, and every call gets the same seriousness as a noon appointment.
Chapter 01
Why a system quits at the worst hour
A Texas air conditioner rarely fails on a mild afternoon. It fails after days of running flat out, on a night when the house is already warm and the office is closed. That is why Red Star takes emergency AC calls 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, across Spring, The Woodlands and Greater Houston.
We have been called to enough dead systems to name the causes. The first is an outdated unit: an older system works harder for the same result, and it is the one most likely to give out in the middle of a heat wave. The second is improper maintenance, and we say it plainly because it is our number one reason for emergency calls. A coil that was never checked or a drain that was never cleared stays hidden until the day the system stops.
The third cause is the one nobody plans for: running the AC all day and night with no rest. A system built to cycle ends up working non-stop, and the weakest part in it eventually decides the night is over.

Grab your phone, not a tool
Our advice when the air stops is the same every time: don't grab a tool to fix it yourself, grab your phone. Operating pressures, voltage and amp draw on the motors, and loose electrical connections are things a technician measures with instruments. Guessing at them with a screwdriver can turn a small fault into a large one.
Two lines are staffed around the clock: Houston at (281) 651-7827 and Dallas at (214) 427-5613. As a Carrier Factory Authorized dealer, Red Star can also work an unusual fault through the Carrier dealer network instead of guessing, and Carrier parts only come through dealers like us.
One customer described a Friday night when his regular company could not start looking for a part until Monday. He called 15 other 24 hour companies and wrote that Red Star was the only one that came through. In his words, “Lee, with Red Star was at my front door about six hours later, and two hours after that, it was fixed!” That was his night. How quickly a truck reaches you depends on the hour and the day, and we will tell you honestly when you call.
Chapter 03
Repair it or retire it: the 50% rule
An emergency repair is also the moment to ask whether the system deserves another one. We use a 50% rule of thumb: when the cost of repairs is getting close to 50% of your system's original value, you are better off financially upgrading. If the technician reaches that line, you will hear it from us, and you decide.
When the system is worth saving, the repair is not the end of the job. Because skipped maintenance sends so many people to the phone at 2 AM, a yearly tune-up is the cheapest way to make the next hot night an ordinary one.
Red Star has served Spring, The Woodlands and the surrounding communities since 2006, and emergency repairs never close. Call (281) 651-7827 from Houston or (214) 427-5613 from Dallas.
Two lines, both open all night
Red Star publishes a Houston line and a Dallas line, and both are marked 24/7. The Houston line, (281) 651-7827, covers Spring, The Woodlands, Conroe, Cypress, Tomball and the rest of our Greater Houston area. The Dallas line, (214) 427-5613, is for our second market in the Dallas area.
Members of the Red Star membership get front-of-the-line scheduling for emergency service as well as standard visits, which is the practical reason to enroll before the heat arrives.
