COMMERCIAL HVAC / REPAIR, REPLACEMENT, MAINTENANCE

Commercial HVAC in Spring

Commercial AC repair, replacement, maintenance and installation, with a technician on call around the clock for the buildings that cannot afford to wait until Monday.

Chapter 01

When the building has to open in the morning

A failed cooling system in a house is an emergency. In a hotel, a restaurant or an office building it is also a business problem, and it does not keep office hours. Red Star keeps a technician on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and the line is the same one residential customers use: (281) 651-7827.

The work covers commercial AC repair, replacement, maintenance and installation, handled by the same Carrier Factory Authorized dealer that has been working out of Pruitt Road in Spring since 2006. Commercial buildings across Spring, The Woodlands and Greater Houston are part of that territory, alongside the homes.

We treat every call, from a simple repair to a middle of the night emergency, with the same seriousness and attention to detail. That principle is written into how the company describes itself, and it is the reason a commercial call is not routed to a different standard than a residential one.

What a commercial maintenance visit actually covers

Commercial maintenance at Red Star is built around a short, concrete list. A technician runs heating and cooling tests, checks refrigerant levels, cleans and inspects all of the heating and AC equipment, and inspects the ductwork. Each item is something that can be done on a schedule and written down, which is the point of preventative maintenance.

That list matters because improper maintenance is, by Red Star's own account, the number one reason for emergency calls. Leaks, rust, rot, soot, frayed wires and corroded electrical contacts are exactly the kind of wear a scheduled inspection finds before it becomes a failure at the worst possible hour.

Heat pumps and air conditioners want a professional tune-up once a year, and gas-fired equipment is serviced every other year. A building with several systems can mix those intervals, so each unit is serviced at the pace that suits it rather than all at once. Ask for the schedule in writing, and you will know what is due, on which system, and when.

Chapter 03

One company for the repair, the replacement and the new install

Commercial work does not always start with a breakdown. Sometimes it starts with a tenant improvement, an addition, or a unit that has outlived its repairs. Red Star installs packaged AC and heating systems, split-system air conditioners, terminal air conditioners, ductless systems and geothermal heat pumps, and designs the layout of the system with heating and cooling load calculations rather than by rule of thumb. Getting the sizing right on paper is cheaper than correcting it after the equipment is on the roof or in the closet.

When an old unit is failing, the company's own rule of thumb applies: when the cost of repairs is getting close to 50% of the system's original value, you are better off financially upgrading. That is the yardstick to bring to any replacement conversation.

Red Star also offers electric generator sales and service, which matters to any building that cannot go dark when the grid does. Across the company, Red Star completes more than 12,000 jobs a year.
